Working Together to Stop the Spread of Polio Along Nigeria-Niger Border - UNICEF

The government, UNICEF, the World Health Organization and their partners are responding to an influx of polio cases in Niger with a third round of polio immunization that will target over 4.2 million children in the country. 276 cases of polio have been reported along the border of Niger and Nigeria since the beginning of 2009.
