Ericsson 4 Wins 2008-09 Volvo Ocean Race

A third place finish in leg nine from Marstrand to Stockholm late on Monday June 5 was enough for Ericsson 4 to win the 2008-09 Volvo Ocean Race. The Swedish team, skippered by Brazil's two-time Olympic gold medallist Torben Grael, now has a 13-point lead over PUMA, with just 12 points available in the rest of the race. PUMA won the leg, reaching a score of 95 points so far, strengthening their second place overall at this stage of the event.
