On Wednesday 10th June 2009, the Marstrand Race Village was opened by His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden.
The teams are due to arrive in to the Swedish port in the early hours of Thursday 11th June at the end of Leg 8. They have been at sea since 6th June, after leaving the previous stop-over port of Galway, Ireland.
