Good Exchange Rates and Easter Breaks Help Support British Tourism

Britain's tourism industry benefited from additional breaks, particularly from the Eurozone, during the Easter period despite the challenges facing international travel in the economic downturn, reveals the latest International Passenger Survey released on 18 June.

In contrast Britons have taken -16% fewer trips abroad in the first four months of the year, suggesting that compared to other countries Britain has benefited from a weak pound and good exchange rates for foreign tourists.
