Mission Reduction In Kosovo

NATO Agrees to Reduce Mission in Kosovo - At ministerial meeting in Brussels, NATO Defence Ministers agreed to reduce the mission in Kosovo. Ministers assessed the security situation in Kosovo and KFOR's evolving contribution to a safe and secure environment.

KFOR has been in Kosovo for ten years and currently has a force of nearly 14,000 troops. The reduction of the force represents the progress that has been made both in the area of politics and security in Kosovo.
