Onboard Fleet Volvo Ocean Race Leg 9

Leg nine is a short 525-mile sprint from Marstrand to Stockholm and could see Ericsson 4 clinch victory in the premier round-the-world race. The Swedish boat, led by Brazilian two-time Olympic gold medalist Torben Grael and winner of the last three legs, holds a commanding 15-point lead over its nearest rival with only 20 points left to play for. While triumph for Ericsson 4 seems inevitable, the battle for second place is intense with American entry PUMA holding a slender one-point over Telefonica Blue of Spain in third place. This leg is all about Sweden, with the seven boats sailing south down the west coast, and then north up the east coast to the finish at the capital.
