Sweden Works to Raise Awareness of Wind Power Efficiency on Global Wind Day, June 13-15

Sweden will celebrate Global Wind Day on June 13-15, a joint initiative of the European Wind Energy Association (EWEA) and the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC). The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness among the general public and decision makers of the need of an energy shift and the opportunities that the wind industry offers in terms of producing CO2-free electricity quickly and efficiently.

Over 20 countries are expected to take part in the initiave through a number of activities, including wind farm guided tours, conferences, exhibitions, workshops, information days, openings of new wind farms, regattas, marathons etc. Available video includes general views of wind turbines in Sweden.
