Sustainable Agriculture a Top Foreign Policy Priority - Says Hillary Clinton

On June 11 at the 2009 World Food Prize Announcement Ceremony, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton gave a speech during which she put a heavy emphasis on the need to develop effective sustainable farming systems to help fight global hunger.

Hillary Clinton also declared that "the more we enhance agricultural productivity, because it's the right thing to do, we will see positive results in terms of our relations with other countries and our ability to affect extremism and violence and conflict."
