Hillary Clinton Supports Twitter Use in Iran

Following a meeting with Avigdor Lieberman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton spoke to the press about the recent use of Twitter by the Iranian people.

Hillary Clinton emphasized that it is a fundamental human right for people to be able to express their opinions and declared that the U.S. promotes "the right of free expression and, it is the case that one of the means of expression, the use of Twitter, is a very important one not only to the Iranian people but now increasingly to people around the world."
