Copenhagen's Distortion Festival Brings Party to the Street

The old bridges leading into downtown Copenhagen are normally reserved for the traffic of cars and bikes, but Saturday night both cars and bikers had to stop - and party for one minute. The nightlife festival 'Distortion' has for several years brought the party, the music and some of the world's most acclaimed DJs out in the streets or to odd places of Copenhagen.

On June 6, it was the historical bridge Knippelsbro that saw the party coming to its streets between 10 and 10.01 pm. The bridge was lifted for one minute and the rave could begin. People started dancing in the middle of the street. When the minute was over, it was back to normal and the cars again claimed the street.
