Porsche AG presents its entire history 'in motion' in a 2 ½ hour film entitled 'The Porsche Way', from the early years up to the present day on DVD. Starting with the lifetime achievements of Ferdinand and Ferry Porsche, the film focuses in eight chapters on the development of the famous sports car manufacturer, proceeding from one decade to the next.

The DVD is based on the Archives Collection with more than 5,000 hours of footage and takes impressive scenes from the history of the Company, the products and motorsport, featuring numerous film extracts never seen before.

The DVD is available from the Porsche Museum Shop in German and English.

Rolls-Royce to Power Gulf Air in $1.5BN Order at Paris Air Show

Rolls-Royce, the global power systems company, will power new Gulf Air aircraft in an order worth US$1.5bn at list prices. Trent 700EP (Enhanced Performance) engines will power 20 Airbus A330 aircraft, with deliveries beginning in 2012. The contract includes a TotalCare long-term service agreement. In addition, Gulf Air also renewed TotalCare on Trent 700s that power 10 A330s already in service.

The Trent 700EP has the best performance, lowest emissions and lowest fuel burn on the A330. Rolls-Royce has secured more than 70% of the A330 market over the last three years and eight of the nine Middle East A330 operators have selected Trent 700 engines to power their fleets.

Statkraft SCA Vind AB to Build Six Wind Farms in Northern Sweden

Statkraft SCA Vind AB, an SCA and Statkraft joint venture, is currently planning the construction of six wind farms in forested areas of Northern Sweden, predominantly on SCA-owned land.

The venture is one of Sweden's largest industrial investments, encompassing 13,500 hectares of forest and 300 to 500 wind turbines. Each turbine will stand 110 to 115 metres high and span 90 metres.

Once completed, the wind farms will provide a total of 2,800 GWh annually – renewable energy which will replace fossil fuels and thereby reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 2,380,000 tonnes a year. Today, June 15 is Global Wind Day.

Organized by European Wind Energy Association, EWEA and the Global Wind Energy Council, GWEC, the aim of Global Wind Day is to draw attention to wind power in the run-up to the climate negotiations in Copenhagen in December 2009.

Novo Nordisk Reaffirms its Commitment to Reduce CO2 Emissions on Global Wind Day

Danish pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk is working to achieve an absolute CO2 emissions reduction of 10% by 2014 compared with 2004 emission levels. In May 2007, Novo Nordisk signed a partnership agreement with the Danish energy company DONG Energy.

Under the partnership, Novo Nordisk pledges to convert all energy savings realised at its Danish production into the purchase of green electricity from a wind farm in the North Sea. DONG Energy's offshore wind farm Horns Rev 2 in the North Sea started to supply the first CO2-free power to Novo Nordisk and the Danish national grid on May 13 2009.
